Cairo + Pyramids by Plane - Egyptian National Museum

This was one of the most powerful trips of the entire holiday. The flight simply flies by - which is a huge advantage. The Pyramids in person are far larger and more imposing than any photograph can convey. The Museum was equally impressive, especially the ancient exhibits and the atmosphere inside. The guide was engaging and never dull - even my husband enjoyed it, and he doesn't usually like this kind of excursion. Everything ran smoothly, without rushing or pressure. I'd absolutely do it again.

We chose this tour because we wanted to reach Cairo quickly without spending a whole day travelling. It turned out to be exactly the right decision. Organisation was precise, everything ran to time, no unnecessary waiting. What surprised me most was the Museum - you really feel history there. The lunch was solid: nothing fancy, but tasty and filling. There was no sense of being rushed. The right format if you value your time.

Travelling by plane was the right choice. In a single day we saw the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the National Museum. The Museum was breathtaking - I have never seen so many artefacts in one place. The mummy gallery is something else entirely - not for the faint-hearted. The guide was excellent and explained the story behind every exhibit. Small group, very comfortable. I would specifically recommend the plane format.

First time in Egypt - I chose the Cairo by Plane tour. A very wise decision: we arrived quickly and had energy left for the whole day. The Pyramids are simply a shock of scale - words cannot do them justice. The National Museum was also fascinating, especially the Tutankhamun death mask. The guide was professional and a captivating storyteller. Lunch was included. One of the best days of the trip.
