Cairo has been called the city of a thousand years for good reason. Here, on the edge of the great desert, stand the pyramids that have outlasted every civilisation the world has ever known. This bus tour from Sharm El Sheikh lets you take in Egypt's greatest icons in one packed day: the three pyramids of the Giza Plateau, the Great Sphinx, and the Egyptian National Museum with Tutankhamun's golden mask. Early-morning departure, late-night return - memories for a lifetime.
The Egyptian National Museum, founded in 1902, holds more than 160,000 artefacts. Here you can see genuine pharaoh mummies, papyri inscribed with spells from the Book of the Dead, queens' jewellery, and the battle weapons of Ramses II's army. The centrepiece is the Tutankhamun Hall, where his golden funerary mask, sarcophagi, and personal possessions are all displayed together. With an experienced English-speaking guide, every exhibit comes alive and tells its own story.
Hotel transfer is included in the price. Air-conditioned coach with an onboard toilet. Restaurant lunch included. En route we stop at a papyrus workshop and an Egyptian natural oils factory.

The Cairo day trip - pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the National Museum - was simply breathtaking. The museum collections blew me away; within minutes I was already planning a return visit to spend a whole day there. We had about two hours at the pyramids and even managed to go inside Khufu's Pyramid - the narrow passage is intense, but it's an experience worth having at least once. The buffet lunch was excellent - generous portions, everyone was more than satisfied.
A childhood dream finally came true. The optional Nile boat ride turned out to be the highlight of the whole trip. The pyramids struck me with their sheer scale and raw power - I genuinely couldn't take my eyes off them. The whole tour flew by in a blur of wonder. I already know I'll be going back to Cairo. First impressions: awe that stays with you for life. Huge thanks for the brilliant organisation!
The Egyptian National Museum is a genuine time machine. Pharaoh mummies, jewellery, statues - it all creates a complete sense of immersion in ancient history. Our guide knew every single exhibit and spoke so compellingly that I completely lost track of time. The pyramids outside were equally stunning. Yes, it's a long day - but every hour is worth it. Transfers were perfectly organised, everything ran exactly on schedule.
I came for the pyramids and the Sphinx - and got so much more. The National Museum turned out to be even more fascinating than I'd expected. Tutankhamun's golden mask up close is genuinely jaw-dropping. Excellent guide - natural, engaging, not reciting from a script. Small group, no crowds. Decent lunch. One thing to know: it's a long day, so mentally pace yourself. But the overall experience more than pays off.

✈️ Message on TelegramCairo is not merely Egypt's capital - it is a city that literally breathes with thousands of years of history. Here, on the edge of the Sahara, rise the Giza Pyramids: the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. The Great Pyramid of Khufu stands 138 metres tall and took more than 20 years to build - and standing at its base today, it is almost impossible to believe that human hands created this without a single modern machine. The Cairo Bus Tour is a classic choice made by thousands of visitors every year, and it's easy to see why.
The tour begins with an early departure from Sharm El Sheikh. A comfortable air-conditioned coach with an onboard toilet takes you across the Sinai Peninsula - past mountain scenery, Bedouin villages, and the turquoise Gulf of Suez. The drive takes around 5–6 hours, perfect for resting or getting to know your fellow travellers.
The Giza Plateau greets you with a grandeur that no photograph can fully capture. The three great pyramids - Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure - have stood here for 4,500 years. Nearby stands the Great Sphinx: a mysterious figure with a lion's body and a pharaoh's face, carved from a single block of limestone. You can walk right up to it, take photographs you'll treasure for life, and feel the spirit of an ancient civilisation all around you.
The Egyptian National Museum in Cairo houses 160,000 exhibits in its historic 1902 building. Every hall tells its own story: pharaoh mummies, sarcophagi, jewellery, papyri. Tutankhamun's golden mask - one of the most recognisable artefacts in world heritage - is right here. Your experienced English-speaking guide will help you not merely walk through the galleries, but truly understand the meaning and significance of each piece.
The best time for the Cairo Bus Tour is autumn and winter (October–March), when temperatures in the capital sit at a comfortable 18–25°C. In summer, Cairo can reach 40°C and above - if you're visiting in summer, bring extra water and plan to see the pyramids in the early morning before the heat peaks.
An Egyptian visa is required for this tour - a Sinai-only entry stamp is not valid. Pack: passport, water (at least 1.5 litres), comfortable closed-toe shoes (there is a lot of walking at Giza), a light jacket (the museum is heavily air-conditioned), a hat, and sunscreen. For small on-site purchases, Egyptian pounds generally give a better rate than paying in foreign currency.
Yes - entry inside Khufu's Pyramid costs an extra 400–600 EGP. Inside there is a narrow passage leading to the burial chamber. Not recommended for those with claustrophobia.
Yes, camel rides are available near the pyramids for an additional fee. Agree on the price beforehand - typically $5–10 for around 10 minutes.
Usually around 1.5–2 hours. With a detailed guided tour you could easily spend longer, but the main highlights are well covered within that time.
Yes, a photography permit costs around 50–100 EGP. Photographing the mummies is strictly prohibited.
En route the tour stops at a papyrus workshop and an aromatic oils factory - both free of charge and well worth the visit.
