Ras Muhammad National Park has been a protected area since 1983 and is one of Egypt's greatest natural treasures. Sitting at the southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula where the waters of two seas meet, it combines a world-class underwater world with fascinating landscapes above the surface. The coral reefs here consistently rank among the finest in the world.
This group bus tour from Sharm El Sheikh takes in all the key highlights: the mangrove grove, the geological fault, the Gates of Allah, the Wishing Lake and - the centrepiece of the day - snorkelling off the legendary reefs. Your guide covers the history of the reserve and explains the rules for behaviour in the water. Masks and fins are available to hire on site.
The tour is suitable for the whole family. Life jackets are required when swimming. Use a waterproof sunscreen.
For group tours a white Toyota minibus picks you up - round-trip hotel transfer is included in the price.

A beautiful excursion, especially if you want something peaceful rather than extreme. The nature is simply incredible - the water is crystal clear and the reefs are stunning. I loved that the whole day is manageable - you don't need to walk long distances or exhaust yourself. The snorkelling was excellent, even with no experience you can swim comfortably. The only thing is there are quite a few people since it's a group tour, but that's to be expected. Overall a very enjoyable day and we left with wonderful memories.
A great option if you want to see some natural scenery without spending too long. Everything was organised well - they picked us up, took us round the main spots and brought us back. The reefs and the water were the highlight, genuinely beautiful. I wished we'd had a bit more time at one of the stops as I could have happily swum longer. But overall the tour is absolutely worth the money, especially compared to what hotels charge.
Ras Muhammad is a must for anyone who wants to see the Red Sea properly, not just from a hotel pool. Untouched nature, living corals, birds, a saltwater lake. Snorkelling straight from the shore of the reserve is nothing like your hotel beach. The guide explained the ecosystem and it made clear why this place is so carefully protected. Impressive both underwater and on land.
Ras Muhammad surprised me with how diverse it is. I expected just snorkelling - there was so much more. Mangroves, a saltwater lake, clifftop views over the sea, birds. And underwater - the best corals I've ever seen in my life. Visibility was at least 15 metres. Large, varied fish everywhere. The guide knows the reserve extremely well. For nature lovers, this is the number one excursion from Sharm.

✈️ Message on TelegramThe group bus tour to Ras Muhammad is the most accessible way to experience one of Egypt's most beautiful natural sites at a reasonable price. The programme covers all the key highlights: the Gates of Allah, the mangrove grove, the geological fault, snorkelling at the coral reefs and the Wishing Lake - all in one comfortable day.
The group is small and the bus is air-conditioned. Your guide explains the history of the reserve, its unique ecosystem and underwater life. Snorkelling in the reserve is the highlight of the tour: the corals here are in exceptional condition, the water is clear, and the variety of fish is extraordinary. Even first-time snorkellers come out of the water wide-eyed.
April to November is ideal for snorkelling. Winter is also beautiful but the water is cooler for swimming.
Swimwear, a mask and fins (hire on site for $3-5 each), a life jacket (mandatory), waterproof sunscreen, and plenty of water.
Yes - green sea turtles live here year-round. You have a very good chance of encountering one while snorkelling.
A group tour offers less flexibility but is more affordable. On a private tour you choose your own locations and set your own pace.
