Wild bottlenose dolphins live permanently in the bay of Sharm El Sheikh. They are accustomed to boats and often swim over to play in the bow wave of a speedboat at full throttle: leaping out of the water, diving in synchrony, racing alongside. Watching this in the open sea, with no glass or enclosure between you, is something no dolphinarium can come close to.
Our guide-captain knows exactly where the pods tend to gather and heads straight there. The group is small - just your party, plus a few others at most. When the dolphins approach the boat, you can enter the water and swim alongside them - but only if they allow it. You cannot force the interaction; these are wild animals and they set the terms.
We cannot guarantee an encounter with dolphins - they are wild animals living in their natural environment. Bring swimwear, a towel, and a camera with a good zoom.

One of the most heartfelt excursions of the whole holiday. We took a private speedboat to the reefs near Tiran Island, and it is a completely different experience compared to group trips. We were in no hurry, stopping wherever we wanted to swim longer and simply enjoy the sea.
The most incredible thing happened unexpectedly: dolphins swam over to us. They were right there beside us, completely unafraid, and we even managed to touch them. The children were absolutely thrilled - and honestly, so were the grown-ups.
The children saw dolphins in the open sea - you can't put a price on that. A small boat, a compact group, no long waiting around. The dolphins came of their own accord - several of them, leaping beside the hull. Our six-year-old was screaming with joy. The guide knew exactly where to go and took us straight there. Transfer arrived on time. One of the most vivid memories of the whole trip.
I didn't expect there to be so many dolphins - we came across an entire pod, at least twenty of them. They swam alongside the boat for several minutes. I filmed it all - we've watched the video back with the family many times since. The captain clearly knows these waters well, found them straight away. A comfortable boat, not cramped at all. Good value for the experience. Highly recommended.

✈️ Message on TelegramWild dolphins in the Red Sea are less rare than you might think, if you know where to look. In the bay of Sharm El Sheikh there are several spots where bottlenose dolphins live year-round. They are used to boats and often swim over to play in the bow wave - it is their favourite game. A fast speedboat at full throttle creates exactly the kind of wave dolphins love.
A dolphin speedboat trip is adrenaline and tenderness in equal measure. Speed, spray, and the joy of encountering these extraordinary animals in their natural environment. No enclosures or pools - just open sea and free dolphins. Sometimes they allow you to swim alongside them; if you wish, you can enter the water and swim just metres from the pod.
Dolphins are here year-round. The best time for an encounter is early in the morning, when they are most active.
Bring swimwear if you want to enter the water. A camera with a good zoom. Be prepared for spray and speed.

If the dolphins allow it, yes. But the decision is theirs. You cannot jump into the water and force an interaction.
